Delighted Owl Pottery is a small pottery studio run by Annie Strong. This page explains what happens to your information when you visit delightedowl.com.
The short version: I don’t run analytics, I don’t use advertising trackers, and I don’t sell or share your information with anyone.
What I collect
If you sign up for the newsletter. I collect the email address you give me, so I can send it to you. The newsletter is published through Substack, so your address is stored with them. You can unsubscribe from any email, and I’ll remove your address if you ask.
If you get in touch. Whatever you send me — your name, email address, and message — so that I can reply.
Page views. The site keeps a count of how many times each page has been viewed. These are totals only. They are not linked to you.
Server logs. As with any website, my web host records requests to the server: IP address, browser type, and the time of the request. These are the host’s standard logs, kept for security and troubleshooting.
What I don’t do
- No analytics — there is no Google Analytics or anything like it on this site.
- No advertising or tracking pixels.
- No selling, renting, or sharing your information.
- Comments are switched off, so nothing is collected there.
- No cookies are set when you simply browse the site.
Other services
Some parts of the site connect to companies I don’t control. When you use them, their own privacy policies apply.
- Shop links out to my Etsy shop.
- Newsletter is published on Substack.
- Videos are hosted on YouTube. They only load if you click play, and they use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode — so YouTube is not contacted merely because you visited the page.
- Social icons link to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
The fonts used on this site are served from my own server rather than a font company, so nothing about your visit is sent elsewhere just to display the text.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email I send. If you would like me to delete your email address, or anything you have sent me, just ask and I will.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, I will update this page along with the date at the top.
